Ask a Therapist is a weekly series where I answer questions submitted by viewers. I do not think about the answers before hand so you are getting my initial thoughts and reactions.
This week's questions:
1. Do therapists have to report sexual assault even if you don't want them to?
2. As a therapist if your client terminates therapy prematurely, in your eyes, would you let them go or express your thought that perhaps they should continue therapy?
Question 2 begins at 5:48
If you have been sexually assaulted and need help you can contact RAINN 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) to be connected to a hotline in your area. https://www.rainn.org/
Outside of the US here is a list of different countries and who to contact https://headington-institute.org/file...
Rape Crisis Europe also has a list of various European countries https://www.rcne.com/contact/countries/
