This Christmas was emotional, nostalgic, and incredibly meaningful. My mom loved the holidays more than anyone, and she always made them magical. Even though she’s no longer with us, this season I carried her traditions forward — and I know she would have been proud.
We baked cookies together as a family while sharing stories and memories, I decorated our home with her beloved Christmas pieces — the carolers, wreaths, and the decorations she treasured — and I used the skills she taught me to create beauty for others. I made bows just like she used to, so many that my hands hurt, and I felt her with me in every loop and ribbon.
I worked to make the season magical for my son Markie, just like she did for my sister and me when we were young. We even lit the luminaries up the driveway on Christmas Eve, and in that warm glow it felt like she was right there beside us.
This video is a love letter to her — a tribute to the woman who made Christmas sparkle. I hope it inspires you to honor the traditions of the people you miss, and keep their spirit alive through love, memories, and magic. ❤️
