La Belle Ferronière is displayed at the Louvre in Paris, just a few meters away from the Mona Lisa. And yet, very few people are even aware of its existence. The identity of the woman has also been widely debated. For a long time, her name was wrongly attributed, and it was even believed that another Italian artist may have painted it.

This painting is a true masterpiece. And yet, it might be the most underrated work Leonardo da Vinci ever created.
