Описание: Hi , everyone , I made this machine to fast dry wood , I use it for making English longbows as it can take two years or so for a freshly cut stave to be dry enough to make a longbow , . , this machine can do it in 2 to 3 days , it can also be used for or any other crafts that require dry wood .... still very experimental but i am getting some great results so far . inside the pipe is 6 X 400 watt halogen heater tubes connected in series attached to a reflector , the reason for this is they don't give off there full heat when connected in series , i don't want to cook the wood , the idea of a vacuum kiln is to boil the water off at a low temperature , so the wood doesn't break down under heat and other stresses ..the end caps are 12mm polycarbonate . just to give you an example , after 22 hours in the vacuum kiln and at 28 centigrade , it will remove 200 grams of water from a roughed out stave that has not been floor tillered . i know the vid doesn't give you that much info . its all new at the moment ,and as i said very experimental .. thanks for watching .
