At 59th Street the Food Warriors dove into the most expensive residential neighborhood along the A line. Options in every food genre abounded at pretty much every price point. People recommended Maison Kayser, a bakery/cafe; Aba, a Turkish restaurant; Per Se, the most expensive restaurant in NYC; Whole Foods for takeout and Bar Bacon, a restaurant infusing everything with bacon.
It came down to Whole Foods, which put up a valiant effort, and ultimate winner Bar Bacon because, well, bacon. We ordered a BLT w/fried egg & avocado and the Lobster-Loves-Bacon Mac-n-cheese - perhaps the least kosher meal in the city.
