Brighton’s Of Empires will release ‘Baby Darlin’ Sugar’, taken from their forthcoming EP ‘ See You With The Angels Kid’, on Friday 14th October.

The single is a return for the band following a successful 2015, having been crowned MTV Brand New Unsigned Winners 2015, playing to a full house at 2015’s Great Escape Festival, and making fans out of British rock ‘n’ roll legends Ronnie Wood & Adam Ant.

The song was recorded at the legendary Metropolis Studios with producer Ian Davenport (Band of Skulls, Gaz Coombes), with the track and EP mixed by Ian Dowling (Catfish and the Bottlemen). Of Empires teased fans earlier this year with a video for the track which documented the band’s recording sessions with Davenport at the famous London studio.

The band have continued to gain support locally across Brighton whilst finishing the new EP, playing a packed out show at The Hope & Ruin in July for This Feeling, playing a live session for BBC Introducing The South and have become notorious for hosting parties at their band HQ, jamming into the small hours with a whole host of Brighton bands.

The band have decided to take the independent route and will release the single themselves across all digital music platforms on 14th October. A physical release on vinyl and a follow up single is expected to land in November with details for release party shows in Brighton & London to follow.
