Rx is an abbreviation for "prescription." Most people think it comes from the Latin word "recipe," which means "take."

OD = Omni Die (Latin) = Once Daily.
BD = Bis A Die = Twice Daily.
TID/TDS = Ter In Die/Ter Die Sumendus = Three Times Daily.
AC = Ante Cebus = Before Meal.
PC = Post Cebus = After Meal.
HS = Hora Somni = At Before Bedtime (At Night).
SOS = Si Opus It = If Necessary
Stat = Statim = Immidiately / At Once.
