Freedom, Emotions and Fusion without borders — “AXENTI”.

"AXENTI" makes a new artistic contribution to musical culture. This genre was created for all lovers of Balkan, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Soul and Classical music, also including elements of Romanian, Oriental, Bulgarian, Serbian Armenian and Macedonian folk music. The whole story can be summed up in three words: "Balkan Jazz Fusion".

Born into a family of traditional musicians – a true dynasty of lăutari – ALEXANDRU AXENTI grew up surrounded by rhythm, emotion, and the spirit of Balkan music. He began learning melodies by ear from he was a kid, blending instinct, passion, and tradition. After studying violin with Svetlana Balaescul in Chișinău, he moved to Switzerland to continue his musical journey with Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.

He has performed two solo recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, both broadcasted by Romanian National Radio. In the first year when he arrived in Switzerland, he was invited by Jon Batiste to share the stage with him and with Jacob Collier at the Jam Session after the "Montreux Jazz Festival".

Today, his project blends - #Jazz, #Funk and #Folk influences into a vibrant sound that celebrates #freedom, #identity, and #soul.
