Drone footage reveals the stunning progress being made at Bury Market. A brand new roof canopy is nearing completion.
It's part of a £33m regeneration project to boost the town centre.
The borough’s famous indoor market suddenly closed in 2023 after the council discovered unsafe reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in the roof. Traders were given just a few hours to vacate their stalls.
A report later concluded it could cost £6m to have the roof replaced.
