The Arkhyz nature reserve in the North Caucasus is a relatively young resort located in an ecologically clean mountainous area. The Caucasus Mountains are, among other obvious things, the richest and most diverse forests. But interestingly, the boundaries of vegetation belts are clearly visible here. Scientists share 3 groups - mixed subtropical forests, mountain oak and beech forests. This video will take you to just such a beech forest at an altitude of 4600-6500 feet above sea level, where beeches, hornbeams, lindens and ferns grow on brown soils and in a cold climate.
