What is #Synthember2024?

#Synthember is a hashtag for an event month, that I created based on Cuckoo's #Jamuary. All videos in September will be tagged with this hashtag. Anyone who wants to jam can also use this hashtag. This is how we make the #Synthember better known.

My motto for this year's #Synthember is:

Make Music whenever you feel like it and you find the time.
This year I have come up with a plan that won't overwhelm me but will provide you with plenty of jams.

Monday is KORG day: Jams exclusively with KORG gear
Wednesday is Arturia day: Jam exclusively with ARTURIA gear
Friday is Mixed Up day: Everything else I have except KORG and Arturia gear

The jams will usually be between 8 and 15 minutes long. There may be exceptions because I can't hold back. Forgive me.

These rules are not set in stone but give me a guideline to follow.

Today is Wednesday, so ARTURIA Day.

There are a lot of ways to put my ARTURIA gear together. One MicroFreak, two MicroFreaks, one MicroFreak with a MiniFreak, two MicroFreaks with a MiniFreak, I might even control the whole thing with the Keypad Pro. So, as I said, lots of possibilities. The only thing that could cause me some difficulties is the lack of any rhythm gears from ARTURIA. Ordering a Drum Brut now unfortunately doesn't make sense. I'll solve it differently. It'll be fun.

Today, anyway, I chose the smallest possible setup. The MicroFreak. Just that. Alone. Naked.
And then I listened to myself and then I closed my eyes and then I jammed for 15 minutes.

Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.
