HPCL's share price declined in early trade, despite the oil refiner reporting a 46% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit during the March quarter of FY26. HPCL also declared a final dividend of ₹19.25 per share, marking its highest payout to shareholders in nearly five years. On Thursday, HPCL shares opened at ₹388.80—compared to a previous closing price of ₹390.10—and dropped 5% on the NSE to hit an intraday low of ₹370.95. On the NSE, the shares were last trading down 3.95% at ₹374.90. By the end of Thursday's session, the stock was seen trading 3.67% lower on the NSE.
