The day has finally arrived. The Death Egg is at last complete. Now airborne, Dr Robotnik takes the Death Egg down to the Emerald Hill Zone to demonstrate the Death Egg's mighty power on the Emerald Hill folk themselves! How will Sonic and Tails be able to stop him?

Sonic's World - Enter the Cybernik (Part 1)
Down in the Emerald Hill Zone we find Shorty the Squirrel, and with a name like that you would never have guessed his short temper. Then suddenly Robotnik's troopers swarm the Emerald Hill Zone, taking them back to Robotnik's factory to be turned into badniks. Shorty isn't just going to sit back and wait, so he hitches a ride to try and save his friends, but when he's finally caught by Robotnik, Shorty soon finds out that Robotnik has something very nasty planned for him. Side note: This is the first appearance for Shorty the Squirrel (Shortfuse the Cybernik) who would become one of STC's most popular characters. He would appear trough-out issues 45 - 173.
