This is a tutorial on how I made a pair of bloomers with an integrated simple petticoat.
Originally intended for the Blossoming Starlight cosplay of Klee, but it can be used for any occasion e.g. casual or lolita wear or if you just want some poof for your skirt but prefere some kind of pants belows.
As always the pattern construction and sewing process are shown in detail. You can always adapt the shown pattern to your own liking.
The basic idea is sewing giant pants and then gather everything with an elastic band on the legs and waist. Then the ruffling will happen automatically.
Materials:
cotton satin stretch (97% cotton, 3% elasthane) in white, used 1,2 m (~1.3yd) for a 1,45 m (~57'') wide fabric roll
tulle fabric in white, medium to hard stiffness, used 2 m (~2.2yd) length for a 1,4 m (~55.1'') wide fabric roll
elastic band for waist (~3 cm width)
elastic band for leg ruffles (~0.6 cm width)
