Full description of this regulator :😀
Single-Phase Voltage Regulator (Full-Wave)
Here is another voltage regulator designed for motorcycles, specifically for use with a single-phase stator. This is the simplest full-wave design, commonly found in most commuter bikes with a 4-pin connector.
❗This regulator is different from half-wave versions and cannot be used with half-wave stators, where one end of the windings is directly connected to the ground. This design is only for full-wave stators that have been modified accordingly.
⚙️Features and Adjustments
With the given component values, this regulator outputs 14.4V at 5000 RPM.
If you need faster battery charging (especially under high load conditions), you can adjust zener diod from 12V to 13V, increasing the output to 15V.
❗Limitations
This system is stator-dependent, meaning it cannot generate more power than what the stator provides. The entire charging system relies on the maximum output of the stator.
LED:
You can add an LED to the circuit for aesthetic purposes. To do this, simply connect the positive pin of the LED, 5 mm, to a 1 kiloohm resistor and connect it to the positive pole of the circuit. The negative pin of the LED is also connected to ground.
