A Spitfire Fireplace Grate Heater is a device that is used in a wood burning fireplace to make it more efficient. Wood burning fireplaces often lose a lot of heat up the chimney; infact about 90% of the heat created escapes out the chimney and never makes in into your home.

Grate heaters, also know as heat exchangers, work to improve the efficiency of a fireplace by drawing cold air is into the hollow metal tubes and using the fire to heat that air. The warm air is then sent back out into the room instead of being allowed to escape up the chimney.

The Spitfire Heater has a smaller profile than our other tube style heaters and is able to fit into smaller fireplaces.
