Caledonian MacBrayne vehicle ferry MV Saturn , affectionally known as a 'Clyde Streaker' , slowly approaches her ferry terminal at Gourock , on the penultimate day before the withdrawal of the Calmac's vehicle-carrying service to the Clyde resort of Dunoon and taken on the 28th June 2011. Also in the video is the Kilcreggan Ferry , MV Seabus , treading water awaiting her time to berth. Saturn was moved further down the Clyde to be the summer supplimentary vessel on the Ardrossan to Brodick (Isle of Arran) Route. There are so many rumours going about regarding her future , it's hard to say which one is right , so I won't.
She was rostered to help out the two passenger-only vessels on the 27th August from her old haunts at Gourock once again for the thousands expected for the annual Cowal Gathering.
After nearly 4 years in Mothballs at Rosneath , Saturn received good news and a new lease of life when new owners came on the scene in the form of Pentland Ferries Ltd. She was to eventually sail north to Orkney under the name ORCADIA on 22nd April 2015....Bon Voyage good old girl!!
