The second track on side B of Elvis’ 1970 album Elvis Country was It's Your Baby You Rock It and despite the material not being the best, Elvis' superb vocal makes the song more than just the sum of it's parts. This was one of five songs contained within the album that Elvis never used at least once in his live show.
It was the fourth of seven songs recorded on 5 June 1970 at RCA’s studio B in Nashville, during the second days recording during that five day session. The song was concluded in just five takes but the first two takes are missing presumably lost.
The fifth take had additional female vocal overdubs added on 22 June at RCA’s studio A in Nashville before the final eleven seconds were edited out by means of an early fade.
As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
