In this video I share with you fellow travellers a great little spot that I often use to have meals or take a break while traveling in Jasper National Park without being in the crowds of certain areas of the park.

The Athabasca Day Use area is located 12km east of the Jasper townsite on Highway 16, adjacent to the Jasper Airstrip. Upon entering the site, you will notice a private gated entry point. Once you enter the gate and continue along the gravel road towards the Athabasca River (600m), there is a parking lot on the left hand side that will accommodate up to 40 vehicles.

This area is sometimes used for events (as seen in this video) but usually you will find this entire area is empty 99% of the time and you can enjoy this relaxing area like I do!
