Delta State is creating a new path toward safer, more resilient communities. Through the EU‑funded initiative “A Community‑Centered Approach to Transforming Criminality and Violence in the Niger Delta,” PIND worked alongside Search for Common Ground (SFCG) and Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN) to equip 330 Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) monitors across the region.
In Delta, the training went beyond technical skills. Participants learned how to read early signs of tension, engage community actors, and respond before issues escalate.
These strengthened capacities are enabling Delta communities to take ownership of their peace and shape a more secure future.
