In Part 2 of the Writing Paper, one of the options commonly found is that of the Review. Sometimes this will take the form of a book review, and at other times you'll need to review a movie you have seen.

It's always very important that you read the rubric - it's never the case that all you have to do is to write a review, saying what you liked and didn't like. Instead, you'll have to write a review that meets certain criteria. Perhaps the book was surprising; perhaps it taught you something new about a different culture. To get the content marks, you need to write something that is connected to the task at all times - don't be tempted to write about something that isn't relevant.

And at the end of your review, remember to offer a recommendation, with justification for your views. Not everybody likes the same things - if you didn't like the book because there wasn't enough action in the story, that might not put off people like me who don't necessarily need action to keep the tale interesting.
