Mumbai Rains: 26 Die In 24 Hours, 9 Die Due To Landslide At Vikhroli’s Panchsheel Nagar

Over 24 hours of rain in Maharashtra’s Mumbai has claimed around 26 lives so far. A youth lost his life at Andheri due to electric shock. Chembur has also witnessed major damages. Six-seven houses in Vikhroli’s Panchsheel Nagar Society of Surya Nagar were affected due landslide in the area. The area is built on a hilltop; hence it is more prone to landslide.

Fire Brigade and National Disaster Response Force are present at the spot. The local residents have been shifted to a nearby school. The incident took place in the wee hours on Sunday. Airport colony has also been submerged in rain water.
