Being able to identify frost damage in a crop as soon as possible after a frost event gives a grain grower their best opportunity to manag the impact of frost. In this video NSWDPI physiologist Dr Rajneet Uppal demonstrates where in the crop to look for frost damage, how to identify the damage, differentiating frost damage and similar abiotic and biotic symptoms, and recommendations on how to best minimise frost risk and post-frost crop management options.
