And if not… well, fuck you — I’ll hate you like a brother.” 

It’s not just an invitation.
It’s Lyonel offering Duncan a place beside him in the Stormlands — a life of glory, war, and brotherhood.

The scene then shifts to Raymun Fossoway, who approaches Duncan with curiosity:

“I hear Ser Lyonel wants you for a stag.
Storm’s End is a sad place there.”

Duncan answers simply, already knowing his path:

“I won’t be going with Lyonel.”

Raymun asks the obvious question:

“What will you do then?”

Earlier in the story we learned that Tanselle the puppeteer fled south to Dorne — making this line feel less like a child’s curiosity… and more like destiny guiding their path.

The final moments of the edit show Dunk and Egg riding together — horse hooves echoing across the open road, the world of Westeros stretching before them.

A hedge knight.
A runaway prince.
Two unlikely companions.

And with that cinematic shot of them riding toward the horizon…
