Edward the Blue Engine's Theme (Series 3 Remix)

Описание: Not something even I had in mind but TywynWharf2002 commissioned this cool idea of layering Edward's Series 2 Theme with the Proteus 2 Instruments, which was a unique feature of Series 3's soundtrack. Before they composed the third series, Mike and Junior had adopted the phaux orchestral sound in 'TUGS' using samples with the Prophet 2000 and then they gradually went with the Proteus kit for 'Thomas', which had a higher quality instrument bank.


Series 3 was a transitional stage for the show, and the composers were still using some of the old synth soundtrack for the background music and cleverly layered the new Proteus instruments over the originals giving them a fresh new sound for the 90's, however this was very sparingly as loads of purely Proteus based compositions were made to replace to warbling sound of the Jupiter 6 and stayed that way til Series 7.
