It was in the year 2017 when Kawasaki introduced the R Edition of its naked steer bruiser, the Z1000. The company has claimed this edition to be Euro4 compliant and that too without compromising on the power and torque figures. Also, the Z1000 R Edition has been embedded with some superbike level trinkets like a set of Brembo 310 mm floating disc brakes with lateral grooves that helps in efficient heat dissipation and flat Brembo M50 monobloc callipers. Also, the ECU is revised to deliver smooth power curve. Further, the instrument panel now gets a gear position indicator with adjustable shift light rev counter. As for the color options, the R Editon is offered in Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Graphite Grey. Differentiating it from the standard model, the R Edition gets special body graphics along with the Z logo embossed on the seat.
