In this video I compare the JBL Charge 5 with the Sonos Roam. Both speakers are about the same price. But the Charge 5 is bigger and you can hear that in the bass.

The trebles sound a bit harsh on the JBL Charge 5, which is a bit more pleasant on the Sonos Roam. The Charge 5 sounds more mature and powerful.
In this comparison, the JBL Charge 5 plays at 40% volume and the Sonos Roam at 70% volume, so both are about equally loud.
The sound settings of the Roam are set to neutral.
