‘Set in a mid – income part of town, MAMA’S BOOK, is a television drama series that illuminates the story of MRS. ADEOLA LADI – BUCKNOR, a retired nurse who spent over half of her in the UK. As a senior citizen, she returns to her motherland Nigeria, with the hope of achieving her lifelong dream of being a writer. However, she discovers that this is no easy feat, as she is stuck with some of the most disagreeable tenants in the city.
‘Mama’ as she is fondly called, tries to evacuate her tenants immediately, until her caretaker educates her on how landlady / tenants relationships go in Nigeria. Frustrated, Mama tells her son Deji, her decision to return back to the familiar and incredibly sane country she left.
