What a day! This hike was tough- over 1200 meters of climbing up very steep terrain. It was a nice break from the city walking though and we got to see a side of Japan we hadn't gotten to before! The forest is beautiful here, especially the long stretches of dense bamboo. Lucky for me and perhaps a bit surprisingly, Adam doesn't hate me and is still having a good time. Follow to see where the trail takes us tomorrow!
