When Deborah Douglas found a lump in her breast, she felt lucky to be under the care of renowned surgeon Ian Paterson. Over the next eight years, Deborah endured a mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and chemotherapy, only to learn her condition had been exaggerated, and her treatment was unnecessary. And she wasn't alone - in 2017, Paterson was sentenced to 20 years in jail, after being convicted of harming multiple women, and deceiving over a thousand patients. As Deborah shares her shocking story in a new book, she's joining us in the studio.
