Описание: January 2017 Emily contracted Bacterial Menengitis. She remained unconscious in the ICU for three days. We were beyond ecstatic when she woke up. However, it was quickly discovered that she had completely lost her hearing and a blood clot in her brain had also occurred due to the Meningitis. In March 2017 she underwent bilateral cochlear implant surgery. She is now having her cochlear implants activated and they are working on her left ear first, since it will probably be the only ear that they hope to eventually achieve clarity. Sadly, her right cochleas had started ossification and will probably not ever achieve good results. But we are hopeful and will post updates as she progresses
