During a summer vacation attachment in 2010, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to fly back seat in a Hawk T1a on a 19 Squadron training sortie through the welsh valleys.
This was a dual sortie with 2 hawk T1a, dual take off and formation flight plus manoeuvres at low level. This video represents highlights of a 90 minute sortie.
Incredible aircraft and pilot handling at such low levels and fast speeds.
Forgive camera shake and movement, filmed freehand on up to 6G turns, making it hard to keep still!
With special thanks to 19 Squadron, RAF and fantastic memories as a voluntary reservist.
