A pair of level crossings located on the same road within as little as around 400 feet of each other within Doncaster, just to the north of Doncaster Railway Station - a busy station and interchange on the East Coast Main Line. Both level crossings have fairly loud alarms, and although both are on different railway routes, both have overhead electrification for the many trains which use them. They're both on busy lines, meaning that there's rarely ever that long at all to wait for a train to pass through at least one of these level crossings. These videos were filmed within around an hour of each other at this location, but don't feature every train which passed in that time. It's not uncommon at all to have both level crossings here lowered at the same time (even though this didn't happen when I visited), and it's not uncommon at all either to be stopped by one level crossing and THEN the other if using this road.
Since they're both on the access route to a rather large industrial estate, both are used by quite a number of HGVs. Gantries with bells fitted to them protect the level crossings, and these bells will be hit by and ring out if a vehicle tries to use these level crossings if it's too tall to safely do so due to the overhead electrification. The road dips down quite a bit in between these level crossings too.
In this video, the western level crossing (Dock Hills Level Crossing) is featured with three separate lowerings filmed at it, and then the Eastern level crossing (Moat Hills Level Crossing) is featured for another three lowerings.
Thanks for watching!
