VICTORIA - They are a foodies' paradise.
Food carts and food trucks are all the rage in Vancouver, popping up on street corners throughout the city.
But on the streets of Victoria, the curbside cuisine is few and far between.
And one councilor thinks it's time for that to change.
Lisa Helps says she will propose a Food Truck Pilot Project for summer 2013, adding it is too late to bring in one this summer.
Current City by-laws prevent food carts and trucks from setting up on public property.
'The Hungry Rooster' is the newest food truck to hit the streets of Victoria, nesting on Courtney St., after it found a private parking lot owner who agreed to let it park, and had the correct zoning.
