The old Corfu on amazing, archival footage taken in the late 1970s (September of 1978). That's what the island looked like at that time! You will see merchants, buildings, shops, citizens and tourists in Corfu in September 1978.
Shots were made by Claude Lanzmann and his crew during the preparation for "Shoah". He filmed and interviewed Jews who survived the Holocaust and deportation to Auschwitz and Birkenau.
The source material is owned by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
