The 2018 Grand Seiko Hi Beat 9S 20th Anniversary SBGH267 is a 1,500-piece limited edition celebrating 20 years since the launch of Grand Seiko's seminal 1998 9S mechanical luxury timepiece. Its blue "mosaic" dial, hi-beat automatic caliber, and versatile 39.5mm stainless steel case ensure that this anniversary special edition is suitable for any occasion and any watch buyer.

The Grand Seiko SBGH267 includes a 39.5mm case that has been detailed by hand. Grand Seiko's "Zaratsu" polish is created by pressing the surface of the watch case directly against a spinning tin plate. The resulting finish is mirror-like and reminiscent of the effect rendered on traditional Japanese sword blades. The case is functional, too; its 100-meter water resistance ensures that this Grand Seiko Hi Beat watch is a ready companion for swimming.

Grand Seiko's in-house Hi Beat caliber 9S85 honors the history of the 9S series. The automatic movement boasts a 55-hour power reserve despite an accelerated beat rate of 36,000 vibrations per hour. Thanks to its high rate and six-position adjustment, this 37-jewel movement is rated to -3/+5 seconds per day by Grand Seiko watchmakers. A quickset date and stop seconds (hacking) permit precise setting of the watch. A custom winding rotor includes blue oxidized titanium atop a tungsten winding mass; it is visible beneath a sapphire display caseback.

Grand Seiko's blue "mosaic" dial includes the logos of Grand Seiko and Daini Seikosha, a 1960s predecessor of today's Seiko Instruments, Inc. Daini Seikosha produced the first 10-beat-per-second Grand Seiko watch, the 45GS. The mosaic dial itself consists of 80 "spun" lines that radiate from the center of the dial. Yellow gold Grand Seiko logo and seconds hand complete the richly embellished SBGH267 special edition dial design.

The SBGH267 is encased in 39.5mm of stainless steel surrounding a dark blue dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The watch also measures 13.3mm in thickness and 47.4mm from lug-to-lug.

Grand Seiko's USA Limited Edition SBGA387 is a 558-piece limited series celebrating the creation of Grand Seiko of America, an independent Grand Seiko company that will advance Japan's premier luxury watch brand in its most important foreign market, the United States.

This 40mm stainless steel Grand Seiko Spring Drive timepiece uses Grand Seiko's 44GS case form, a classic since the launch of its namesake model in 1967. With Zaratsu polished (handcrafted) details, the case exhibits a degree of manual execution rarely seen on Swiss watches of comparable price. The full stainless steel bracelet includes a deployant clasp and removable links fixed by screws.

Inside the case, a 30-jewel Grand Seiko Spring Drive caliber 9R65 enjoys a 3-day power reserve (72 hours) with automatic winding. The Spring Drive system employs a mechanical drive train and mainspring power source, but induced electrical current activates a quartz timing crystal. Spring Drive permits quartz precision with the mechanical soul a watch the features no batteries, capacitors, or motors. Hacking (stop seconds) and a quickset date permit precise setting of the watch. 100-meter water resistance ensures that the Grand Seiko SBGA387 can be worn while swimming.

Grand Seiko Spring Drive USA Limited Edition SBGA387 is encased in 40mm of stainless steel surrounding a Kira-zuri blue dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, power reserve indicator, and date. The watch also measures 12.8mm in thickness and 46mm from lug-to-lug.
