Northwestern's Science Policy Outreach Taskforce (SPOT) presents the Winter 2021 Science Diplomacy Series Lecture featuring Dr. Fadila Boughanemi. Dr. Fadila Boughanemi received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Sciences-Po Aix in France. She serves as the Deputy Head of Unit for Asia, Africa, and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at the European Commission, Directorate General for Research and Innovation. In this talk, she discusses the European Union’s policies in the matter of international scientific cooperation and the EU’s New Global Approach in this realm, a framework which will be adopted by January. She focuses on the EU’s science diplomacy activities in Africa and MENA Countries.
