Cuba's Havana Homes Crumble, Residents Fear Collapse

Описание: Hundreds of families in Cuba's capital constantly fear that the aging and poorly maintained buildings they live in could collapse under a Tropical storm.

Six families, some 17 people, live in an old house in Habana Vieja, one of the many once-luxurious buildings that have become tenements and are in visible danger of collapsing.

A similar building located 110 yards away collapsed after heavy rains in early October, causing three deaths.
