Joseph Helinski: Immigrant Stories

Описание: Joseph Helinski immigrated to the US from Poland in 1907 to avoid being drafted into the Russian army. He clandestinely entered the United States, and his daughter Gertrude's birth certificate was the first written record of his life in the United States. His great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Yulga, created this video and reflects on Joseph's legacy of independence in her own family.
