Track 7 from his fifth album "Run for Cover" released in 1985 copyright Virgin Records. It was recorded at Marcus Music, Eel Pie Studios, Westside Studios, Sam East Studios and AIR Studios, all in London and was produced by Andy Johns, Gary Moore, Peter Collins, Beau Hill and Mike Stone. It was his first to feature former Trapeze and Deep Purple Mark III bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes and former Roxy Music drummer Paul Thompson. Hughes sang lead vocals on four songs. It was also the second to feature former Thin Lizzy bassist and vocalist Phil Lynott, who had also appeared on Moore's debut solo album "Back on the Streets" and co-wrote Gary's signature song "Parisienne Walkways" in 1978. Lynott contributed and sang on "Military Man" which he'd written and recorded with his short-lived band Grand Slam the year before. Sadly, Phil Lynott would die the following year from the effects of his serious drug addictions at the tender age of thirty-six. The album received above average reviews and reached No. 146 in the U.S., No. 73 in Australia, No. 47 in the Netherlands, No. 27 in Germany, No. 23 in New Zealand, No. 12 in the U.K., No. 10 in Finland, No. 7 in Norway and No. 6 in Sweden. It was certified Gold in Sweden and Silver in the U.K. Written by Gary Moore and produced by Andy Johns, Gary Moore, Peter Collins, Beau Hill & Mike Stone. You live your life in a state of confusion
Never finding your way
You've had the breaks but you're so disillusioned
You only live for today
(You never stop for a red light)
You never even try
(You're on the wrong side of midnight)
Too fast to live but too young to die
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(Keep on singin' the blues)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(You've got nothin' to lose)
You say that you've got a hot reputation
You never built it on trust
I say you're part of a lost generation
You got left in the dust
(You never stop for a red light)
You never even try
(You're on the wrong side of midnight)
Too fast to live but you're too young to die
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(Keep on singin' the blues)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(You've got nothin' to lose)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(Keep on singin' the blues)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(You've got nothin' to lose)
Yeah, nothin' to lose
(You never stop for a red light)
You never even try
(You're on the wrong side of midnight)
Too fast to live but you're too young to die
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(Keep on singin' the blues)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(You've got nothing to lose)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(Keep on singin' the blues)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin')
(You've got nothing to lose)
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') you got nothing
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') no, no, you got nothin' to lose
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') nothin', nothin', nothin'
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') you got nothin' to lose
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') no-no-no, no-no, no-no
(Keep on singin' the blues) nothin' to lose
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') oh-ho-oh-oh
(Keep on singin' the blues) you got nothin' to lose
(Keep on rockin' and rollin') nothin', nothin', nothin'
(Keep on singin' the blues) you got nothin' to lose
