TypeScript uses intrinsic types internally to create powerful types which would be almost impossible to create in only types. Sadly TypeScript does not provide a functionality to add intrinsic types yourself.
That's why I've created patch-ts. A cli tool which patches the TypeScript compiler to also support user defined intrinsic types.
