Athirapally Waterfalls located on Chalakkudy River, 63 Kilometres from Thrissur district of Kerala. It is the biggest waterfall in Kerala Known for its scenic beauty. It comes down from a height of 80 feet through several parallel streams. In the monsoon season, it appears like Niagara Falls So it is also called “Niagara of India”. It also offers views of the Sholayar hills and the Western Ghats makes it one of the most popular Tourist destination in Kerala. The nearest airport Kochi International Airport is 43 kilometers . The months from November to February is the best time to visit Athirapally as the weather is quite cool and pleasant. Sightseeing activities can be best enjoyed during these months. Chalakudi river which originally originates from Anamudi mountain ranges in the Western Ghats.
