As many as 13 COVID-19 patients were killed after a fire broke out in a hospital in Vasai-Virar City of western India's Maharashtra state early Friday. On Thursday, the country recorded nearly 315,000 coronavirus cases, the world's largest single-day rise in infections. In several states, hospitals have been overwhelmed with patients and are facing acute shortage of medical oxygen.
