SargeanTravis Do Anything But Progress to the Other Planets Challenge (Difficulty Impossible)
I know, wasting another episode on the perimeter wall, but this episode idea came out spontaneously as I was preparing for what will become the NEXT episode.
There is no short term gain from the additions I make to the factory here, but in the long run, this circuit-controlled system (a precursor to what many call "Parameterized Train Logistics") will only dispatch ammo and repair packs to places that actually NEED ammo and repair packs. Thus, we reduce the materials wasted ferrying ammo that many not even be used in the entirety of the run or fuel being burnt on a train that does nothing but circulate the rail network endlessly.
Combinators and the Circuit Network are not necessary to beat factorio in any capacity, and the game tells you this straight up. But damn, do they help in the little places, and people who are a LOT smarter than me can make Circuit networks that control your factory in ways that all the AI corpos dream their chatbots could do.
Also, guest appearance from the most rage-inducing biter expansion known to mankind. I didn't WANT to save scum (twice) in this episode, but when I am trying to explain circuit networks to uninformed viewers, listening to BEEP BEEP BEEP YOUR FACTORY IS BEING CONSUMED really gets on my nerves.
