Описание: Riding Vermont's Muddy Onion Gravel Bike Race Route: It's Iconic. It's, as we call it, a MUST RIDE, gravel cycling route. Its a well known fact that if you love to gravel cycle that Vermont is arguably the best place on earth to set a pair of tires on. With literally more gravel miles than paved, including highways, its no wonder there are gravel bike and bikepacking race events just about every week. The Muddy Onion is one of the more well known and revered races by locals and visitors. Leaving right from the states Capitol, Montpelier, you hit beautiful dirt, within only a few miles, riding through serene pastures and farmland. Every mile could be a postcard and the locals are friendly and happy to give you a wave when passing by. I don't know of any other capitol, which feels more like a quaint small town than big city that can claim epic gravel riding just outside of its "city" limits. Welcome to Vermont its a beautiful place to be. The recent statewide historically damaging floods have put the entire state under water including Montpelier. Many businesses and homes were lost, millions of dollars and many years of repairs are needed to fix the damages. Our hearts go out to all those who endured any hardship as a result.
