Ouray, Colorado is the county seat of Ouray County, Colorado. Ouray has a population of about 1,000 people.

Prospectors began settling in the area around 1875 and the town was named after Chief Ouray of the Utes people. The town had many successful gold mines.

Ouray, Colorado is frequently called the Switzerland of America due to the similar scenery and climate.

Now Ouray is a popular tourist location, with the entire downtown area being a historic site. The town has access to many outdoor activities including ice climbing, and is hot springs.

This little handheld camera is very easy to pack because of its small size. It is not as rugged as the GoPro, but is easy to carry and make stable video. I use the creator combo version which includes an additional battery and a microphone that can be clipped to your shirt for improved audio which I like for filming walking tours.
