The Best of 1941 | Picture This

Описание: We’re back with "PICTURE THIS," an exploration through every Best Picture nominee ever. This month, hosts Dylan Randazzo and Chadwick Webb are looking at the nominees of 1941 (for the 1942 ceremony) as part of our miniseries, THE YEAR OF THE UPSET, and today, we conclude that Year of the Upset with perhaps the most shocking Oscar loss of all time, when CITIZEN KANE lost Best Picture to HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY. The full slate of movies are "Blossoms in the Dust," "Citizen Kane," "Here Comes Mr. Jordan," "Hold Back the Dawn," "How Green Was My Valley," "The Little Foxes," "The Maltese Falcon," "One Foot in Heaven," "Sergeant York," and "Suspicion."

We break down each nominee individually, discuss some other notable 1941 movies, and in the end, we will rank the nominees ourselves to determine OUR Best Picture winner of 1941. We will also award prizes to our best actors and actresses of these ten films. We ALSO award our HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2025, which inducts the actors and directors that have been awarded at least two Picture This prizes.
