In this video I am going to show you a simple technique that I use to preserve my water hyacinths. I have been doing this for several years now and its been working great. Im am in zone 9 where we get a little hotter but it still gets cold here too. The water hyacinth is a tropical plant that need warmer weather all year long. So if you are going to be growing this pond plant and you are located in a colder environment then you should take consideration of bringing the pond plant inside until spring. Water Hyacinths are a great pond plant for your pond. They produce beautiful blooms that are purple, These pond plants are one of the fastest growing plant around.
