*Gaucher Disease Symptoms in Adults and Babies*

Gaucher disease is a genetic disorder where fatty substances accumulate in certain organs, primarily the spleen and liver, due to the lack of the enzyme glucocerebrosidase. Symptoms can vary greatly between adults and babies, making early diagnosis crucial for effective management.

*In Adults:*
Common symptoms include fatigue, easy bruising or bleeding due to low platelets, bone pain, joint stiffness, and an enlarged spleen or liver. Adults may also experience osteoporosis, anemia, and sometimes lung or heart issues. Neurological symptoms are rare in adults.

*In Babies:*
Infants often show more severe symptoms. Enlarged liver and spleen, developmental delays, seizures, feeding problems, and failure to thrive are common in type 2 or type 3 Gaucher disease, which have more neurological involvement. Babies may also experience breathing problems and irritability due to bone pain.

Though there's no cure, enzyme replacement therapy and other treatments can help manage symptoms. Early detection is key for a better prognosis.
