Описание: Admiral IC Rao is one of the pioneers of the Engineering Branch of the Indian Navy. As a young officer, he served on several ships as the Engineer Officer including INS Vikrant as Commander 'E'. In this episode, we discuss the early journey of the Engineering Branch and the challenges they faced in keeping our ships running. We go on to talk about a landmark decision made by the Navy at the time, which was the initiation and execution of the Leander Class programme. The episode ends with some recommendations made by Admiral Rao on organisational structures within the branch.
